Hi again!
December is one of our busiest months at NSC. Our staff and volunteers have been working hard to get the Christmas Room ready for parents to come "shop" for toys and clothing. This month read on to hear an AMAZING impact story, learn about our seasonal program needs, and check out some upcoming events in the community!
Please help us make this year's Christmas Room a success by donating financially, or dropping off toys and clothing to our office or a dropbox in the community!
Recently, a former client sent us a message to share with the community. Read on to hear WHY we do the work we do!
"Oxford Area Neighborhood Services Center helped out my family in a time of hardship. We have never asked for any kind of assistance before and I never thought in a million years I would ever gain the courage to ask and second qualify for it. But when my husband went out on medical leave for six weeks with no pay we were in trouble and we needed help. The organization assisted us with groceries, Christmas presents for our daughter, a Christmas food basket for the holidays, and our rent for that one month my husband was down. We are forever grateful for outpouring of love and kindness they showed us in a time of need and uncertainty. I’ll never forget it and every year we pay it back. Thank you for doing what you do."
We are in urgent need of all toys and clothing to continue stocking our Christmas Room. Some specific needs are larger gifts ($25 and up) for all ages, baby clothes (newborn to 3T), clothing for older children (size 10-adult). We are helping almost 200 children this year. Please help make this Christmas Room one of the most successful in NSC history!
